"Rib cage with a heart" is about fragility and strength. About love (the heart), freedom (the lungs) and the walls we build to protect them. I feel that these two are so deeply wanted that often the ego prefers not to acknowledge that desire and avoid the potential pain of not getting them. Or the pain of getting them and then losing them. Oh well.
This is just a painting anyway.
