Harsh

I remember having painted with black and orange and thinking that there was something missing there. Using the little blue paint that I had left to add its characteristic long stains was a very unexpected and spontaneous decision.

To be honest, even though Harsh is the smaller earlier version of Blue Tiger, it has a unique irregular texture and a rough, wrinkling pattern that its bigger sibling doesn't have. Some traces look like scars. Its colors are less vivid. It's a more rugged, captivating, lower key painting with a presence and a depth of character very difficult to match. It's going to be difficult to let this one go.
